The Swimming Pool Q's were a pioneering new wave band and very popular in Atlanta GA in the 1980s. This perfomance was videotaped by the Access Atlanta Public Access TV Group in 1980. The video is from the collection of Mister Richardson. They are performing "Restless Youth" in this clip.

Dedicated to brother Ken Berg, who documented the Atlanta music scene in the early 80s. This was the last year they had  music at the Arts Fest. Ken produced this video shoot of the day long end of a glorious run of Atlanta and Athens music at the Atlanta Arts Fest. The Q's are performing "Wig of Sensation" in this clip.

The show was discontinued after one season due to the difficulty of serving proper refreshments in the public access television studio. The Swimming Pool Q's were the top band in Atlanta that year and gave this Dance-O-Rama a big ratings boost. They are performing "Stingray" in this clip.

Dance-O-Rama was the first new wave TV dance party seen weekly on Atlanta public access television. Created by Paul Burke, The Fabulous Reina, and Tom Zarrilli, it featured local bands, comedy bits, RuPaul's Learn-to-Dance and an odd crowd dancing to the best new wave records. The Swimming Pool Q's play the Georgia Music Awards in 2004. They are performing "Wreck Around" from Blue Tomorrow and "Rat Bait" from The Deep End, with special guests Glenn Phillips on guitar and Lisa King on percussion.

This is Tom Gray who wrote the song "Money Changes Everything". He was in Atlanta "The Brains". On this night he was backed up by the Atlanta band "The Swimming Pool Q's." Also in attendance was the drummer for The Brains, the late Charles Wolff. This recording was made in Atlanta on Jan. 27, 2007.
