One of the best memories from my childhood was at one of my Dad's shows. I remember I was around seven or eight years old, a time in which I was totally awed by my Dad when I saw him playing. Near the end of this particular show, he made an announcement before the beginning of one of his last songs. He called for his daughter to come up on stage and play with him. I don't remember how embarrassed I was when he did that, I'm sure he was very successful in doing so, however. What I do remember is being on stage next to my Dad and wearing sunglasses while helping him sing some crazy song as I played the finger tambourines. As I have thought about that moment, I have found that it was really important to me because I was a part of my Dad's music, which is his life. I wish I had some kind of picture or video tape of that night, but I have never seen one. It was an experience to remember.
